C.1880s. 5 3/4” s.e. curved blade, wedge section with the inside edge sharpened. One piece wood hilt with hat form pommel and reeded edge iron ferrule. The wood meticulously and deeply carved over all in simulation of braided leather. Hilt with dark patina. The blade dark with original tool finish. Scarce form.
